Year 5/6 Residential trip

Pupils in Y5/6 are taken on residential trips by the staff at Green Hammerton Primary School. They go for two nights and three days to either Kingswood (in Northumberland) or PGL (near Preston). These are booked on a two year cycle to enable all children the opportunity to experience the two different sites.

Both places offer a range of fun activities including: canoeing, zip wires, orienteering, leap of faith, G swing, Jacobs ladder, high ropes, quad biking and many other exciting things. The children love sleeping in the dormitories with their friends and rise to the challenges of being away from home.

This is a very special time for the pupils and they always say that it is the most memorable event they take part in whilst at Primary School.

The staff enjoy the trip just as much s the children (if not more!) and take great pleasure in spending quality time with each and every pupil.  Great fun is had by all!
